Information on Texas Children's Hospital patients was compromised

The confidential health information of about 1,600 patients of Texas Children's Hospital is at risk after a doctor's laptop containing clinical and demographic information was stolen 2½ months ago.

Notifying letters were mailed to parents of the affected children, cardiology patients of a Baylor College of Medicine doctor who practices at Texas Children's. Such notice is required by state, federal and international law.
