On April 16th of this year we received the following email from Kaycee's mother in Plano.
I am writing this to thank you for running the story on my daughter Kaycee Lynn Grantham. I am not sure if you have received any information following up on the story and I apologize for taking so long to express my sincere appreciation.
My daughter was found and Shawn Austin was arrested in November. A young woman from Beaumont called me one afternoon and said she had my daughter. She had become friends with her and wanted to remain anonymous because of Shawn's ties with local Arian Brotherhood and KKK ?. She put Kaycee on a bus to come home, after hours of me trying to get her a ticket.
I called the Plano Police and somehow the U.S Marshals got involved and removed her from the bus just after pulling off from the Beaumont station.
Thanks again,
Lori Grantham
